Privacy policy

Last updated September 17, 2026

Shuttle Sort is made by Gordon Tucker, an independent developer in Utah, United States. This policy explains how information is handled when you play the game, visit these pages, or contact me.

Your choices

The campaign does not require a game account. Sharing gameplay statistics is optional. The game does not request GPS or device location permission.

Information stored on your device

The game saves progress, settings, coins, supplies, cosmetic unlocks, purchase entitlements, and privacy choices on your device. A randomly generated installation identifier supports optional statistics. A local Game Center identifier helps keep achievement syncing connected to the correct Apple player.

Exported backups contain game progress. A backup leaves the app only when you choose where to save or share it; your device or cloud backup provider may also back up app data under your settings. I do not operate an online account system or a server that receives your full save automatically.

Optional gameplay statistics

If you enable Share statistics, GameAnalytics receives an installation identifier, game version, session and technical information, and events such as missions started, completed, failed, or abandoned, with time played and deaths. These help me understand difficulty and improve the game. Network requests also expose technical information such as an IP address to the provider.

The game's analytics integration does not send your name, email, Apple account, advertising identifier, full save, or purchase events. These statistics are associated with an installation, so they are not completely anonymous.

You can change this choice in Settings → Privacy & ads → Share statistics. Turning it off stops submission of new statistics; it does not automatically erase information already sent. For information about the provider's handling of game data, see GameAnalytics’ developer privacy policy.

Advertisements

Ad-enabled versions use Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads to show ads between missions and optional ads for rewards. Depending on the enabled service and permissions, these providers may process device or installation identifiers, IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, ad views and interactions, app usage, purchase-related signals, and technical or performance information. They use this information to deliver and measure ads, maintain their services, and prevent fraud. See Unity’s Game Player and App User Privacy Policy for its practices, retention, and privacy controls.

Approximate location from an IP address does not require GPS permission. Choosing optional reward ads and choosing to share gameplay statistics are separate settings. Turning off reward ads does not disable automatic between-mission ads. Remove Ads removes automatic between-mission ads; optional reward ads may remain available.

Advertising data is handled by the ad providers, not just by me. Their processing can involve advertising measurement or personalization; applicable consent and device permission choices govern that processing. This policy is not permission to track you. This website itself does not contain advertising or tracking scripts.

Purchases and Game Center

Apple handles App Store payments. The game uses purchase and transaction information to unlock what you bought and restore eligible purchases. I do not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide sales, transaction, and financial reports for managing the business.

If you sign in to Game Center, the game sends achievement progress and your total completed missions to Apple and retrieves achievements for syncing. Your Game Center profile and scores may be visible to other players according to Apple's settings. You can manage Game Center in your device settings. See Apple’s privacy information.

Support and this website

If you email me, I receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. I use them to answer you and investigate the issue. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.

These pages are hosted using Amazon Web Services. Hosting and security services process network requests, which can include IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, and timestamps, to deliver and protect the site. The pages do not set analytics cookies, use local storage, embed social widgets, or load external fonts.

Why information is used and shared

I use information to provide requested game features and support, improve the game with your optional statistics, manage purchases, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Where a legal basis is required, these purposes rely on performing our agreement, consent for optional statistics and other processing requiring consent, legitimate interests in support and security, or legal obligations, as applicable.

Information is shared with the providers described above as needed for those features. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect people's rights or security. I do not sell support messages or game saves to data brokers. Ad-provider practices are described separately above; sharing for advertising can have a broader meaning under local privacy laws.

Retention and security

Local progress remains until you reset it or remove the app's data, although privacy preferences, purchase records, Game Center records, and device backups can remain separately. I retain support correspondence while needed to resolve your request, follow up on the issue, or satisfy legal obligations, and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

Analytics and advertising information follows the providers’ retention settings and policies. Retention depends on the purpose, account configuration, security needs, and legal obligations. See GameAnalytics’ retention information and Unity's policy linked above. Disabling a feature or uninstalling the game does not itself delete records held by Apple or other providers. Reasonable safeguards help protect information, but no system is completely secure.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising sharing. You may also be able to complain to your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Email shuttlesort@gordontucker.com to make a request or ask for help with provider-held data. I may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant records. Because game statistics use an installation identifier rather than your email address, your email alone may not identify those records. I will explain what can be located and help direct requests to the relevant provider. You can also use Apple's and Unity's privacy controls directly.

Children and international processing

Shuttle Sort is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required parental consent, contact me so I can investigate and take appropriate steps. Where parental consent is required for optional data collection, it must be obtained before enabling that collection.

I am based in the United States. Service providers may process information in other countries, whose laws may differ from yours. Applicable protections and transfer arrangements depend on the provider and the law; the linked provider policies explain their arrangements.

Changes and contact

I may update this policy as the game or its services change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required.
